Ametalis establishes a Nordic expert group in sustainability

Ametalis acquires sustainability expert Envima AB.

Ametalis embarks on its journey towards building a Nordic group of companies to offer sustainability-promoting software and services. The ambition is to build the group of small and medium-sized companies focusing on sustainability as a core competence in their operations, where companies will in turn contribute to and strengthen each other’s offerings. The journey begins with the acquisition of 100% of the shares in Envima, a Linköping-based sustainability expert.

“The Nordic region has an incredibly strong sustainability brand that is largely based on entrepreneurial-led SMEs. We want to hook arms with these skilled entrepreneurs and let them stick to the operational reins of their business, maintain their unique cultures and entrepreneurial spirit even in the future, and welcome them as owners of the Ametalis Group. With a comprehensive industrial network and toolbox for corporate construction, we strive to develop the companies and the group together.”

Kim Lehmusvuori, CEO and co-founder of Ametalis

Envima is a sustainability consultant with excellence in team compliance, sustainability reporting and management systems. The company has a strong historical profitability in a growing and less competitive market segment where growth is driven primarily by changes in regulation and corporate interests’ increased focus on sustainability.

“We are happy with the partnership with Envima AB. Envima is a well-managed company with a high level of expertise and professionalism among its employees. We share sustainability and long-term values, and are pleased to gain Anders Johansson’s confidence in taking over the ownership role in Envima. We look forward to working with the organization, management and board to continue to develop Envima and Ametalis offering.”

Envima’s management and board continue in their previous roles after the transaction.

“The owner change is a strategic choice to ensure the continued development of Envima and thus secure the future for both customers and staff. I look forward to remaining committed to the business.”

Anders Johansson, principal owner of Envima since 2004

“Envima and Ametalis share the conviction that the future is sustainable, including business and long-term values. The deal is a win-win for all parties and I look forward to continuing the successful Envima journey in the same way, but in a new context.”

Johanna Palmér, President of Envima since 2019
