SENS and Dovre Group: transaction advice and permitting for 85 MW / 170 MWh battery storage at Pyhäsalmi mine, Pyhäjärvi
The 85 MW / 170 MWh Pyhäsalmi battery energy storage project was sold on 10 March 2026 in a transaction worth about EUR 5.5 million. Etha provided sell-side transaction advice and permitting support to SENS and Dovre.
What we did
Etha acted as the sell-side transaction advisor in the Pyhäsalmi BESS project, including transaction management services and legal support in respect of the negotiations. Etha further supported the transaction by advising on permitting, providing technical and project development expertise, and working actively with stakeholders.
Outcome
The Pyhäsalmi Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Finland reached a significant milestone with its successful sale completed on 10 March 2026. The transaction, in which Sustainable Energy Solutions Sweden Holding AB (SENS) and Dovre Group Plc (Dovre) acted as sellers of the project company, was valued at approximately EUR 5.5 million and was subject to customary conditions, which have now been fulfilled.
