Silokallio solar farm: project management and engineering, Kokemäki
For the 60 MWp Silokallio solar farm in Kokemäki, Etha managed the project and stakeholders and carried out layout, energy yield, feasibility and visual impact studies through to building permit.
The challenge
Located in Kokemäki, in the Satakunta region of Western Finland, the project was initiated in November 2023 with preliminary assessments on the prerequisites for the solar farm, which was followed by the inquiry on the need for Environmental Impact Assessment in 2024.
What we did
Beyond managing the overall project and stakeholder engagement, Etha carried out a variety of critical preliminary assessments for the solar farm. These included technical studies such as layout plan, energy yield and feasibility assessments, as well as studies examining the visual impacts of the solar farm.
Outcome
Once the project was fully underway, a legally valid building permit was secured in just over a year.
