Privacy policy
Ametalis AB is committed to protecting your personal data, and as such, we process your personal data exclusively in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and other applicable legislation for the protection of personal privacy. “Personal data” refers to all data that can directly or indirectly be used to identify a living individual.
Ametalis processes personal data acquired in connection with our acquisition and management of companies. The personal data that may be relevant in these situations includes, for example, names, personal identification numbers, titles, contact details, billing information, and other business-related information provided to us by our business partners. The information provided may be supplemented with data we obtain from other sources, such as your company’s public website, public databases, or paid databases. You are not obligated to provide personal data to us, but failure to do so may prevent us from fulfilling any commitments towards you, as we may be unable to carry out necessary checks, send newsletters, and more.
Ametalis processes personal data only if there is a legal basis for the processing, to safeguard your interests, and for accounting and billing purposes. The processing is based on our legitimate interest in acquiring and managing companies.
Only Ametalis employees who need access to personal data to fulfill the above purposes have access to the data. The data will not be disclosed to third parties unless agreed upon with you, it is necessary to fulfill an assignment, or it is necessary for the management of Ametalis’s technical systems.
Client’s personal data is typically retained for ten years after the completion of the assignment. After that, the data is either deleted or anonymized.
Personal data that you voluntarily provide to us, such as when you communicate with us via email, web forms, or other channels, request newsletters or similar services, or register for an event, is stored in accordance with the above purposes for as long as you have a business relationship with us. If you no longer wish to receive newsletters, information, or invitations from us, you can notify us at the email address info@ametalis.se, after which your data will be immediately deleted.
Ametalis also collects information using cookies on our website to facilitate your use of the site. For example, we can also collect information about your computer, IP address, type of browser for statistical and analysis purposes. The information collected is generic, which means that it cannot be used to connect a specific visitor to the website with a physical person.
If you do not want cookies to be stored on your computer, you can change this in your computer’s browser settings and delete cookies stored on your storage medium. Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can also choose to deny cookies or be alerted before they are stored.
You have the right to request information from Ametalis about the use of personal data concerning you. Upon your request or on our own initiative, we will correct or delete incorrect data or restrict the processing of such data. You also have the right to object to Ametalis’s processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes, at which point we will immediately cease processing.
